Martha Stewart Martha Stewart is one of Westport's most famous residents. The founder and president of Martha Media Omnimedia, she is the star of "Martha Stewart Living," a weekly daytime television show offering decorating advice and tips, in addition to the publisher of a magazine by the same name. Named one of Time Magazines 26 Most Influential People in 1996, she has been a staple in and around Westport for years. Paul Newman One of the most influential humanitarians on the East Coast, Paul Newman has represented the kindness and sincerity of Westport residents for years and years. Dedicating the proceed's of his food chain (Newman's Own) to charity, he has financed many community service projects within the town and nationally. Most notable is his "Hole In The Wall Gang" camp, a summer camp for disabled children. A film star from years past, Newman has spent his retirement in Westport. Don Imus An infamous radio figure for over twenty years, Don Imus is a relatively recent addition to Westport. Although a controversial member of our town, inciting preservation groups and many Westport citizens with his purchase and threatened demolition of a historic building, Imus represents the livier side of Westport. Although sometimes overbearing, but always funny, Imus often remarks about Westport on his radio show. The "I-man" can be heard every morning on 660 AM, or viewed simultaneously on MSNBC.
