Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Westport / Yangzhou Sister City Site. This site was created to facilitate international cooperation between two distant towns, creating a virtual "stomping ground" - a place for people to meet, talk and learn. This exciting relationship will allow for citizens of both towns to communicate any time of the day or night, and in the process, discover new customs, ideas and societies.

Last summer, Westport and Yangzhou engaged in an educational exchange. Yangzhou has accepted Todd Parker, a history teacher from Staples High School, as Westport's academic liaison. Mr. Parker has agreed to log his thoughts and activities in an electronic journal, transmitted weekly to Staples High School for inclusion in this web site. We can learn about his adventures and laugh with him in a unique, interactive experience. In addition, our two disciples from Yangzhou have also promised to post journals.
