• Cheerleading Tryout Clinics
  Tryout clinics are scheduled for May 27 - 28 from 3-5pm and tryouts are May 30 at 3:00pm in the field house.

• 2008 Junior Statesmen Summer Programs provide advanced college curriculum and exciting experiences for students who aspire to careers in politics or public service. Check the bulletin board in the Social Studies Department Offices.

• Boy's Varsity Tennis team still needs a manager. Anyone interested in the position should contact Mr. Scott in the Social Studies Department

• ACCOUNTABILITIES: April 2nd was the end of the marking period. All accountabilities must be cleared up before you will receive your report card. Come to the Assistant Principal's office Room 1030.

• Photo Dark Room Club meets every Wednesday after school in room 1007 -- there is no obligation, only come when you have film. Come try us out!

• The U.S. Naval Academy had begun an online application for current juniors to apply for their Summer Seminar Program. Please visit their website for the application & more information at: www.usna.edu/Admissions/nass.htm.

• FBLA Club Meeting: The FBLA Club (Future Business Leaders of America) will be meeting REGULARLY on Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 in room 3065. New members are welcome! :) C. James

• SAT Tests: Contact ETS if you need to change your test center or change your test. Otherwise, contact Mr. Jolley. Standby registrations on the day of the test are very risky. Bring a photo ID and your registration ticket.

• Spanish Club is looking for additional members. Stop by after school Tuesdays in room 1054. We have the most fun out of any Staples High School Club!

• CHET Scholarships are CT residents who lost a parent or sibling to cancer to pursue their post-secondary education goals. Applications are at the College & Career Center or downloaded at www.cancercare.org/about_us/connecticut.php.

• Bocce practice on Tuesdays and Fridays right after school. Meet in Room 2048, and then we'll go right out to the field. Don't miss out!

• EXTREME BADMINTON: There will be "open practice" for students interested in playing badminton on Friday, April 25th. For all interested students, games will begin @ 2:30 in the gym. See Coach Shamas for details.

• Staples Tennis Match Play Boys/Girls:
  Please contact Sam Hickok at shickok@stapleshighschool.com if you are interested in playing fun, competitive and FREE match play tennis, starting May 19, 2008 at Saugatuck courts.

• Schedule Generator: Do you like having a custom printed schedule, but don't like making it yourself? Try the schedule generator, at the Staples website and click on "Colored Schedule Generator".

• The Westport Public Library is looking for 350 volunteers the days of July 14-22 for their annual gigantic summer Book Sale. Please contact Volunteer Chairman Suzy Hooper 434-7344.

• Attention "Shine A Light" Field Trip assembles in the Staples lobby at 7:30 AM. We will begin boarding immediately!!!
