  Staples High School

You are in ABOUT US
Welcome to the About Us section. Here you will find some information about the those who have created and maintain the Staples High School webpage.

To see those of us who still attend Staples, click here!

Aaron Meyers Aaron Meyers (2001)
(Computer Club Vice-President, Head Webmaster)
Contact: aaron@junker.org

Aaron helped us fill this new site with an enormous amount of content, and on a larger scale, the sports section of the site. Coaches would contact Aaron to keep the scores and schedules in this section up-to-date. He also performed major grunt-work towards the end of development.

Aaron was elected Webmaster for three consecutive years, and as Vice President in the Computer Club he was the head person in responsibility for our website. When he was not making webpages he also played on the Baseball Team. Aaron is also a HUGE Yankees fan. Off the field, he rowed at Saugatuck Rowing club and he played the violin in the school orchestra. Aaron was also the Web Editor for Inklings, the school newspaper.

Andy Abramson Andy Abramson (2001)
(Webmaster)
Contact: andy@junker.org

Andy made a contribution to the issues of Inklings on the Web that we put online. He provided the site with content and willingly joined our grunt-work task force. He also played Baseball for Staples and Westport American Legion, and had a job with computers at Mitchells of Westport, a large clothing store in Westport.

Eric Schoeller Eric Schoeller (2001)
(Programmer, Computer Club Treasurer)
Contact: eric@plek.net

Eric, like Nathan, handled a lot of the programming and database design that makes the newest verison of this site what it is. He played a very important role in the development of Inklings on the Web and many other dynamic features of this site. He also brought up the first several issues of Inklings on the Web. With Jim Honeycutt, Eric worked very hard to obtain the neccessary funding for our webserver (tron).

Eric was the Layout editor for Inklings, the high school newspaper, and won 2nd place in the Hartford Courant contest for best page design in the state. Eric was a member of the Staples High school orchestra, and plays the cello. He is a member of BSA troop 36, and is currently a life scout.

Michael Mulligan Michael Mulligan (2001)
(Computer Club President, Designer, and Programmer)
Contact: mike0068+shs@optonline.net

Michael acted as leader and handled the design of the new web site. He created all of the graphics and interface--namely the stuff you see and think is so pretty and easy to use ;-). He has also gotten into programming the back-end of this web site throughout many of our bigger projects. Some of these contributions can be seen in the classic homework system and other dynamic sections of the site (like the TV system)!

Michael's interests are all over the place in the realm of computers--he is an artist at heart and it shows where he works his kung foo in Photoshop and AfterEffects. He's also put some of his graphics skills to work as Graphics Editor for Inklings--so be sure to check out his award-winning comic strip! His interests also lie in programming--be it PHP, Java, or Cocoa.

Michael will be spending the next four years at Big Red!

Nathan Nathan (2001)
(Systems Administrator and Programmer)

Nathan developed the dynamic, database driven system which makes the new website so great. Not only is the new design faster, but it is also easier to maintain. Using the same architecture, Nathan also contributed in developing Inklings on the Web and the TV announcement system.

Nathan participated in the Fairfield University C++ competition, and helped Staples place 4th. Nathan was a member of the Staples High School Computer Club, and has the title of System Administrator. Nathan won two awards in 1999 for telecommunications and programming, and won four awards in 2001, including one named after him!
